I must start by apologizing for poor activity during the summer. I’ve been gone a few weeks. From now I’ll try to make up that lost time.
Today I come with memories from trips.Croatian coast showed my all their faces, beautiful views, challenging mountains roads and sunsets with local beer.Yamaha XVS V-star checked of like coast cruiser , like a boss. I want came back..
In case of a first project, everything is absulutely new and you have to deal with problems that you’ve never been familiar with. If it comes to my project, I came to the point which seemed to be a night walk through the forest with my eyes closed. Wiring from scratch – what a task! I found some wiring diagrams on the net – at first, they looked like a maze! However, after spending some time studying them, I found a little light at the end of a dark tunnel. I took red felt-tip pen and started connecting lines and dots. Finally, the diagram for my own Hona CX 500 cafe racer project was ready and I could go to the garage to make the plan come true. At the moment, wiring is almost finished and It came out that it was a piece of cake and nothing to be afraid of – but you never know unless you try it yourself.
I spent some time in my parents house last weekend and that’s what I’ve found – old, forgotten Honda CM125. A bit dusty, a bit incomplete and for sure lacking style. I’ve decided not to sell it (am I crazy?) but rather give this motorcycle some time and attention that it needs. What could I do with such a piece of automotive junk? I’m not sure yet – at the moment I know that it’s power is absolutely impressive – 10 hp. Perhaps it would be my first tracker project? We will see…
It’s 1st of May, great sunny weather around and finally, because of national holiday, it’s a day off work. Package that I’ve been waiting for has just arrived. I was looking for a brand new helmet that would have a bit of history in it – a vintage, racing look. I think that Biltwell Gringo was the best choice I could make. Unfortunately, my Honda CX 500 cafe isn’t ready yet so I will have to spend some time in the garage before testing this wild-orange beauty.
Finally the front lamp is in place. It was worth it to devote all the time.
I thought, we didn’t need to move that much air, at least most of the time so .. I decided to convert fan to electric one. I hope it will work efficient.
Engine should run more freely
Winter in Poland was supposed to be cold, windy and extremely snowy… Somehow it occurred that it was sunny, pretty hot and (what is extremely weird) absolutely without snow. I had a dream of building my bike on the snowy nights, with my little lamp on, with a small heater on… just like on the movies you can see on vimeo – but it just didn’t work. Instead of that, I had some hot evenings and, because of the weather, I could just do much more things that I planned. That’s why we can see a ready-made fuel tank with absolutely brilliant HONDA NSX red paint (r510 code) which, in my opinion, is so strong, that it can generate it’s own lighting mood. No filters needed, no instagram, no postproduction… Just the color itself. I am so fu*king amazed with the shade that I can’t stop thinking of it…
After short new year break, we returned to workshop. Cx has got new brake discs from EuroSport spec. Now it’s time for new callipers.
I get new welding devices from Santa. I have a lot of work to do with my welding skills. Stay tuned.
